lhah,mas. di menu sblm login di BT jg dah diliatin bhwa di BT jg ada command 'ati' utk knfigurasi card ATI-nya...tp pas sy jalankan, errornya ttp muncul jg. sy jg sempat cb di laptop toshiba (serinya sy lupa) e error jg di tmpt yg sama...screen error.

halo all,

mau nanya nih. saya kan lagi nyoba Backtrack distro untuk kali pertama nih. nah, waktu saya Booting pake CD tuh Backtrack, udah bisa masuk sampe login as root. Tapi waktu saya coba jalankan startx mula-mula jalan, *maaf saya kasar* akhirnya berhenti en ada pesan error Server :

Fatal server error:
no screens found

lantas saya coba jalanin xconf dulu, siapa tahu dengan ini masalah bisa diatasi. tapi ternyata, masalah yang sama kembali muncul. saya memakai amd athlon xp 64 bit, display ATI Radeon X1300 series. nah kira-kira apa yah yang menyebabkan xwindow nya gak mau jalan? mohon pencerahnnya. terimakasih......

speedy office unlimited d tempat saya lelet minta ampun, sering DC pula...jalannya kayak bekicot...padahal pas pakai limited lumayan kenceng beberapa kali lipat, sampai sering overquota karna gak terasa...;apa pilihanya mang gitu ya?:

yg pertama :
status local only belum tentu bisa membatasi client keluar ke internet.
coba cek apa mesin klient dapat default gateway (itu yg penting).

yg kedua :
ada semacam proxy dalam jaringan - yg menggunakan beberapa client sebagai proxy server menggunakan web browser.

coba cek di firewall dgn netstat - lihat beberapa ip yg memakai port firewall/proxy terlalu banyak - buat mesin itu sbg suspected "unlegitimate" proxy.

tetapi asal si mesin tidak punya default gateway - dia tidak akan bisa memanfaatkan proxy palsu tersebut.

mas, lhah klo dhcp client itu selain ipnya ngikut server dhcp-nya, apa default gatewaynya jg bs ngikut automatic? klo gitu yg tjd, berarti client bs langsung dpt default gateway donk, lantas si client ini meski dah berada di balik firewall  masih ada kemungkinan bisa sneaking ke internet ya ??? kira-kira, selain tunneling, trik kayak apa ya yang bisa lolos dari firewall? trus , pencegahannya (seting praktisnya kira2 gimana?)

oya, sekalian nanya. di kantor saya tuh jaringannya pake DSL504T. nyoba beberapa kali setting filtering outbound utk beberpa ip kok gak bs berhasil ya alias ip yang di filter masih bisa lompat  ke internet? kira2 ada yang tahu cara mengatasinya?thanks..

nanya: sy tuh prnah menjumpai,dimana sebuah public network,yg ketika kt mengkoneksikan pc kt kesana kt bs connected, status 'local only',(alias semestinya ga bs konek internet/outbound access lngsung dr client -ip dinamik- ga bs); tp trnyata,ttp bs bocor firewallnya dgn semacam komunikasi antar trusted host dlm jaringan lokal yg bs nglanjutin request ke intrnet. Kira2 klo gitu salah set firewall dmananya ya? thanks..

kayaknya di sourceforge.net ada YMess.jar (YM client utk MIDP2) yang bikinan orang Indonesia mas...(sy jg sebenernya sangat tertarik ke J2ME programming melihat prospeknya ke dpn mas,tp sayang ga punya background di programming sama sekali jd susah paham konsep2+implementasinya klo cm blajar dr buku/internet)...

ya memang di hlmn info usage speedy tarif telpon dipisah sm speedy.yg saya tanyakan tuh apa tarif telpon yg ada disana,merepresentasikan billing penggunaan telpon utk keperluan telpon biasa saja tiap bulan; ataukah untuk keperluan tranfer data speedy lwt line telpon tsb jg ikut membebani ke tarif telpon ? (sedang tarif speedy unlimited memang fixed),sy msh blm jls di situnya.(klo tdk pngrh k biaya tlpn;kan sy jd berani d/l bnyk distro linux :-))

itu mungkin juga karena di filtering bos.....meski range ip lebar, tapi klo ip2 tertentu di kasih filter outbound access kayaknya juga gak bisa akses keluar jaringan....CMIIW....
